Publishing update

Sunday, May 17th, 2015

Azimuth forthcomingCathedral of the SkyAzimuth (The Interscission Project: Book Two) is off to the proofreader for a final read-through to eliminate any minor typos.

The planned release date stands at July 1 2015.

In other news, I have decided to shake up my marketing plan for the Pact Arcanum Saga, my completed series of scifi vampire novels.  The companion novella to Sunset, Cathedral of the Sky, will no longer be available in ebook format as a separate purchase.  It will now be offered as a free download to readers who sign up for my newsletter mailing list, either through my website (http://pactarcanum.com) or via the link embedded at the end of all of my ebooks (http://eepurl.com/l7i9X).  This is meant as a reward to readers who take a chance on my first book, and are interested in reading more with no additional outlay other than communications relating to my new releases and special offers.

The free novella remains as part of the Pact Arcanum Boxed Set 2 collection, for those who do not wish to sign up for the mailing list.  But who wouldn’t want to sign up?  Everybody’s doing it.  You want to be COOL, don’t you?  ;)

Respectfully,

Arshad Ahsanuddin

UPDATE 5/29/2015:  I changed my mind.  It’s not fair to those not signing up to take the book off sale.  Instead, you can get Cathedral of the Sky free by signing up to my mailing list, or you can purchase it from the usual retailers.  Share and Enjoy!  -  Arshad

O Frabjous Day #amwriting

Saturday, January 31st, 2015

Howdy, all.  It’s been a while since I’ve been significantly active.  Sorry about that.  Just didn’t have the motivation to write.

But I’m feeling much better now.  8^D

Issue 000 Radiant Burn LR High Quality-1The Pact Arcanum webcomic adaptation continues with the help of artist Jayant Mall.  New pages are posted at my second website http://pactarcanum.net, every Saturday morning at 8AM.  Be sure and check it out.  If you like it, consider leaving some feedback, or signing up to donate a couple of bucks my way.  It might convince me that someone out there is actually reading it.  :P

Working Book Cover5aIn any case, I am about 45,000 words (150 pages) into the sequel to Zenith, Book 1 of my time travel series The Interscission Project.  The new book is tentatively entitled Azimuth (or possibly Declination, depending on the alignment of the planets the day you ask).  I am aiming for a July 2015 release, but if all comes together earlier, I might jump the gun on that.

The Interscission Project itself is intended to run for 3 novels in total, and this will be the second.  The short novella Nadir that was briefly published last year will be incorporated into the text of Azimuth.  I’ve already written a basic outline for the third and final book, so I am as yet on track to wrap up the series by the end of the year, or early next year.  More updates can be had on the Interscission Project page of my website (http://pactarcanum.com/WIP-Interscission) or my Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/interscission).

That is all.  Please, talk amongst yourselves.

Advance Pages to Patreon

Sunday, May 18th, 2014

I’m going to set up a posting rhythm for my Patreon Page subscribers (http://www.patreon.com/pactarcanum).

Title Page LRI’m going to post the rough pencil images I’ve received from the artist (Jayant Mall, J Labs) on Saturday, then the final image the following week, followed by the official post on my website the week after. So that means subscribers will get two pages a week (one rough, and one finished), in addition to the official post on the Pact Arcanum website. Subscribers will only be charged for the advance finished page, however. Let’s kick the process off with the roughs for page 3 of issue 1 (pages 1 and 2 are the cover and title page), now posted to the subscription feed.

Enjoy! And tell your friends! :)

Cheers,

Arshad Ahsanuddin

Webcomic Update

Wednesday, May 7th, 2014

So, I have been quietly moving ahead with the Pact Arcanum Webcomic, to bring the books to a new medium.

Issue Zero Art IGG placeholder

Currently Issue Zero is online, at http://pactarcanum.com/comic-book-media/, and I expect to start posting new pages weekly of Issue One, within the next month.

This is an expensive effort, and while I plan to post weekly for free, I would welcome any donations to defray costs, either through the donations link at the bottom of each new page, or though the Patreon account I am setting up. If I reach $300 in donations, I will post an additional page the following week.  Further details will be forthcoming as we approach Launch Day.

As always, thank you for your support.

Arshad Ahsanuddin

Announcing a new IndieGoGo crowdfunding effort aimed at creation of a Pact Arcanum comic book!

For millennia, the Sentinels have hunted the vampires with steel and magic. Antonio is the Wind of Fire, the strongest Sentinel of that element, the most powerful spellcaster of his generation. Edgar is a capable Fire Sentinel in his own right, and serves as Antonio’s lieutenant. Together, the two of them were chosen for a very special mission: to scout out the vampires’ greatest citadel, the Court of Shadows itself, in preparation for the Sentinels’ final assault. Their actions that night will set in motion a destructive chain of events that will echo across supernatural society for generations…

Issue Zero is already complete, and serves as a template for design of the next issue, Issue One.  Only your support will allow me to bring this pilot project to fruition.  If it pleases you, take a look at the perks I offer, and decide if you wish to contribute to fund the project.  Alternately, suggest a perk that WOULD convince you to contribute, and I will see if I can arrange it!  I aim to please.
