In the United States, today is Memorial Day, when we remember the soldiers that sacrifice everything for our protection.
Here’s a challenge for my readers, new and old, just to see if anyone is paying attention. As a counterpoint to the rolling free promotion over the next few weeks, I am going to post eight trivia questions for each book that is being offered for free download.

As part of the Hop Against Homophobia blog hop (http://hopagainsthomophobia.blogspot.com) in honor of the International Day Against Homophobia (May 17), I have been asked to talk about my perceptions and experience with homophobia. As a writer, I think the place where you can gauge social issues best is in the everyday entertainment that people seek out on their own.
Over the last year, I have experimented with a number of different promotional strategies. Recently, I heard the intriguing suggestion of staggered promotions for series titles, and I am not adverse to trying something new, at least once.
This blog post has nothing to do with writing or my books, but rather reflects my own displeasure over this proposed piece of North Carolina legislation, since I vote absentee in that state.
